The Combination Filter has aluminum mesh on one side that captures cooking grease, and on the other side, there is a black removable carbon filter pad that absorbs cooking odor.
The carbon pad is removable, so you can wash the aluminum. You never want to wash a carbon filter as it can ruin the odor-absorbing properties.
Combo Filter Sizes
We offer sizes across the board, different thicknesses, different lengths and widths, full custom capability.
The removable carbon pad is not a feature on all of the sizes of the combo filter. We do offer replacement carbon filter pads to fit the filters that do have this feature!
How Often Should the Carbon Filter be Replaced?
Again, it is important not to wash the carbon pad within this filter. That being said, longevity depends on how often you cook and what type of cooking you do. We typically see these lasting for 6-12 months before they need to be replaced.
